The Royal Bafoken Stadium in Rustenberg recently received an upgrade to their audio and sound systems.
The stadium is named after the Bafoken people who live in the area and seats about 42k fans.
Electro-Voice Phoenix, FRX+660PI, ZX-5, Peavey Media Matrix, Crest CKI and the Midas Venice are all used in the install.

Nelson Mandela Stadium
Nelson Mandela is a great statesmen and it is fitting to have a stadium here in SA named after him. Its a brand new stadium being built for 2010 and obviously needs an awesome sound system to ensure that the crowd doesn't miss a thing! 56 Electro- Voice FRX 15” Horn Loaded Coaxial loudspeaker systems have been implemented by Prosound
. This is now the 9th stadiumm installation by Prosound, all using the Peavy Media Matrix.

TC Electronic's Nova Repeater
Prosound has just released the new Nova Repeater here in SA - same awesome sound quality as the Nova Delay (used by Doug Aldrich). The Nova Repeater has additional features ideally suited to the guitar player. The interface is streamlined and user friendly.

Best places to buy audio equipment
I'm envious when I look at the huge range of products available overseas :-( Our choices here in SA can sometimes be a bit limited, however their are still some great distributors here in SA! For example AEQ has distributors here Africa: http://www.aeq.es/eng/dis_distribuidoresAfrica.htm . A few of my other favourite suppliers:
Ellis Park gets a revamp!
Have you ever been to Ellis Park(also called Coca-Cola Park)? Its one of the largest and most famous stadiums in South Africa. It contains truck loads of history (SA won the rugby world cup there). The stadium recently got a new audio system (courtesy of Prosound), and the system passed with flying colours during the confed cup!
